This is the vision of Shambhala - a legendary enlightened society. The first king of Shambhala is said to have received teachings directly from the Buddha; teachings on the inseparability of spirituality and everyday life.
This four week Open House is a wonderful introduction to meditation and will offer participants guided meditation instruction and an introduction to some of the basic concepts of the Shambhala Buddhist path. We will learn how to apply meditation in our everyday life.
Newcomers and those familiar with meditation are welcome.
If you are interested in diving further into the Shambhala Buddhist teachings this fall, please join us for The Way of Shambhala, our core curriculum of practice and study. The curriculum begins with Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human, a weekend workshop, and Meditation in Everyday Life, a weeknight class. This Open House will be a good prelude for those of you interested in continuing on with the path.
Come spend your lunch hour with us!
